In October 2018 Robin McRoskey Azevedo announced McRoskey San Francisco, a San Francisco Heritage Brand, decided to focus as a retail business through our San Francisco, Palo Alto and San Rafael showrooms as well as an online store. In a February article, the Potrero View article chronicled how McRoskey, one of the oldest family-owned mattress companies in the U.S, has shifted to retail sales.

Using McRoskey’s Time-Tested Materials & Craftsmanship
Pleasant Mattress Inc., another third-generation mattress manufacturer, located in Fresno, CA acquired the production rights of the McRoskey brand. Pleasant’s team needed time to learn our 120 year old manufacturing process. In the Fall of 2018, they shadowed our San Francisco team, took detailed notes, and even made videos to capture the step-by-step process of crafting our luxury mattresses. Together, we’ve worked diligently to be certain everything is just right — ensuring our mattresses and box springs are made to our time-tested standards.
Now built by a dedicated team of specially-trained craftsmen located in a stand-alone 25,000 sqft factory at Pleasant’s Fresno campus, the first McRoskey mattress shipped from Fresno in January! By moving production to Fresno, our 120-year old heritage brand will broaden its geographic reach.
