I stopped by McRoskey in San Francisco today, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. Chesiree was absolutely amazing! She really took the time to listen to what I needed and helped me find the mattress that was perfect for my sleeping habits. She was patient, thoughtful, and never rushed me, even though I tried out every mattress (some more than once!) to make sure I found the right one. This is my 2nd McRoskey in 20 years. a) they last; b) they are locally made; c) they are incredibly comfortable no matter whichaway you sleep; d) Robert at the (soon-to-close) Market Street showroom was very knowledgeable, helpful and low-key and gave me all the time I needed to make my selection. The bed is the most important part of your home. You spend nearly a third of your life in it, so it’s incredibly important to select the most comfortable, most supportive bed you can find. We found it at McRoskey’s. Cherisee reviewed our previous purchase and knew our preferences and showed us the beds we would enjoy, and she was right. While we tried a few different models we stayed with the one she showed us first. She demonstrated her knowledge of bedding, and she was clearly concerned about satisfying our needs. I went to the McRoskey store several times this year, as we were ready to replace our mattress and then our pillows. We’ve had McRoskey mattresses for 25 years and have been very happy with them. The quality and longevity are excellent. Each time, Chesiree was very helpful in reviewing all the options with me, patiently answering all my questions, and guiding me toward the best options for my budget and needs. My husband and I have very different needs so we have a split king with separate adjustable bases - it was a game changer for us and satisfied all of our individual needs. We love having our own remotes for each side. It’s great if one person snores because they can be slightly elevated - it really helps! The motor is so quiet and gentle that you can even elevate them a bit more if needed without waking them up. Also the adjustable base is great for reading, stretching your back, and relaxing your body with the massage feature - and the colored lights underneath are very cool and helpful at night. Our cat liked it right away too - he had no issues with the motor/movement and likes the massage feature. Also I had an ankle injury and it was helpful to be able to elevate my feet while sleeping. We have the gentle mattresses but they are firm enough that the gap/love bridge is not a problem. I’m small so I put a Coyuchi wool topper on my side which makes it softer and cozier - Coyuchi only offers regular twin so it’s a little short, but I just put my pillow in the area not covered. Our McRoskey king down pillows were a little too soft for us but I put them in queen pillow protectors and now they’re perfect - super soft but lofty enough to hold their shape too. We hug them when side sleeping - so soft and cozy. If you want neck support, the firmer ones are probably a better choice. The only problem we had was finding organic mattress protectors and sheets for a split king, but Chesiree helped me with that too, giving me all the dimensions and information I needed to find what would fit. I found organic waterproof mattress protectors on Amazon and sheets online from Costco. Our bed is very expensive but I know it will last and continue to meet our needs for a very long time. Our old McRoskey lasted us 20 years!
